Privacy Policy

Your tool inputs are processed on your device. Pages include Google Tag Manager for page-visit measurement; the site's own code sends it no input content.

All tools on Handy Browser Tools run in your browser. Text you paste, files you select and anything you generate is processed on your own device, not uploaded for processing.

Local storage. Some conveniences (your dark/light theme choice, bookmarked tools, recently used tools and unsaved tool inputs) are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and you can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

Cookies and page measurement. Pages load Google Tag Manager (container GTM-5MNHZ4S4, injected after the build, so it appears in served pages but not in the repository source) to measure page visits. Text you paste, files you select and results you generate are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded for processing; the site's own code sends the measurement container no input content. What the container itself collects is configured in the site owner's tag-manager account, not in this page. This page sets no cookies itself, and the repository source contains no advertising tags.

Hosting. Static pages are served from a content delivery network, which may log standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent) for security and operational purposes, as is standard for any website.

Downloads are not uploads. Some tools fetch supporting files to your device before they can run: the text-from-image tool downloads a recognition model (about 12 MB) on first use. These requests carry only standard request metadata, never your pasted text, files or results. The Markdown tools load remote images only if you explicitly enable that option.

Sharing is your choice. Copy link shares only a tool's address. If you explicitly choose to include your input, it is encoded in the link's fragment (the part after #). Anyone with that link can read the included content. Do not use content links for passwords, tokens or other sensitive data. Your browser, clipboard service or chosen sharing app may store links you share.

External links. Share buttons and support links lead to third-party sites governed by their own privacy policies. We load no scripts from those sites.
