HEIC to JPG Converter

Drop up to 10 HEIC or HEIF photos, pick a JPEG quality, and convert them all on your device. Download files one by one or as a single ZIP, or hand a result to the Image Compressor.

How to use
Private by default: processing stays on your device
YOUR PHOTOS

Start with your HEIC files

Drop HEIC files here or browse files .HEIC · .HEIF (up to 10 files)

Files are checked before converting: anything that isn't HEIC is rejected with an explanation, never silently skipped.

HEIC in, JPG out.

Convert, then download files one by one or as a ZIP.

Applies to files converted after the change — re-run Convert to apply it to finished files.

Good to know

Conversion runs entirely in your browser (WebAssembly decoder) — nothing is uploaded. At most 2 files convert at once so large batches don't freeze the tab.

Limits, stated plainly: wide-gamut/HDR color is flattened to standard SDR JPEG; metadata (EXIF, including location) is not carried over; multi-image files (bursts, live photos) convert the first image only.

JPEG has no transparency; HEIC transparency, if any, becomes white.

How to use this tool

  1. Drop your .heic or .heif files (up to 10). Non-HEIC files are rejected with an explanation.
  2. Pick a JPEG quality, then select Convert to JPG. Two files convert at a time.
  3. Download each JPG, grab them all as a ZIP, or send one to the Image Compressor.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion runs on your own device through a WebAssembly decoder in this page, so your photos never leave your browser.

What quality should I pick?

Balanced (92) is visually lossless for most photos. Choose 80 for much smaller files, or 100 when every detail matters, such as prints.

What doesn't survive the conversion?

Three things: wide-gamut/HDR color is flattened to standard SDR color, metadata such as EXIF and location is not carried over, and multi-image files like bursts or live photos convert the first image only.

A file was rejected. Why?

The first bytes are checked for the HEIC file signature before decoding. JPEGs, PNGs and other non-HEIC files are refused with a message instead of failing mid-conversion; convert those with the Image Converter.
